Our Molly(dooker) turns 9! This was a great way to celebrate! Thanks again! Gwen Stetsko, SA
'Hi Sparky and Sarah, In early January my wife and I visited your fabulous winery. You have a wonderful set up and great staff. It was only the two of us on the tour but Peter didn’t rush at all and made us feel very special. He was so informative and his passion and love of winemaking really shone through. You should both be very proud of what you have created, not just the wines you make but the culture you have created within your business. I am about to go overseas but when I get back I will be ordering some of your incredible wine! Thanks again to all your staff for a great experience'. George Turton, Clayton North VIC
'Dear the wonderful staff at Mollydooker, Hello from the Pecks, the wayward honeymooners who wandered into your winery in early December on the hopes that we could try a few sips of your delicious reds! This e-mail is long overdue, but with the holidays and our honeymoon some important things have been delayed. We wanted to say THANK YOU so very much for the amazing experience we had at your winery. The private tour of the facilities by the very knowledgeable Sean was so much fun. We felt so lucky to meet Sparky in person AND his mother, Janet! The tasting that we got to have was awesome and of course, delicious. We could hardly believe it when we found ourselves loaded up with bottles of wine as we headed out the door. Yours is a truly unique and wonderful winery that two strangers can walk in with no appointment and receive such a memorable experience. Our trip to Mollydooker is definitely one of our favorite honeymoon moments. I've attached two photos of us enjoying the wine you so generously gave us. We finished our bottle of The Boxer at the restaurant at the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat with some lovely kangaroo steaks. We enjoyed the Carnival of Love at Appellation, the restaurant at The Louise hotel in the Barossa region. I had to demonstrate the Mollydooker shake to the perplexed (amused?) server - the entire show raised the eyebrows of other dining guests. Both wines were delicious! We love recounting our trip to your winery to our friends and family and how special it was. Thank you again for everything!' Josh and Jen Peck, New York City
'Went into the cellar a couple of weeks ago and pulled out an 06 Velvet Glove and threw it into the decanter. Several hours later and 2 hot ribeyes on the dinner table, my wife, not knowing what wine we were drinking took her first taste of the wine and I quote, "This is like velvet in my mouth, what is this"? It was incredible. Thanks.' Dave Donovan, Chicago IL
'My wonderful husband, Matt Possehl, treated me to a bottle of velvet glove for my birthday... saved it for Christmas Eve and was so impressed! It's truly an amazing bottle of wine. Back to the others for everyday drinking, gratefully that's not a sacrifice! Cheers!!' Pam Possehl, Colorado Springs CO
'Hello Mollydooker, I am glad this happened last year on December 31st, 2011. It was a great way to finish the year. So picture this: A really busy tasting at Teller Wines. We are tasting some great bottles like Mollydooker Enchanted Path and Ampelidae Armance B and a few pedestrian wines like the 2003 Silver Oak Napa. I brought out a bottle of the 2009 Mollydooker Velvet Glove to taste. About 20 people had small tastes - now remember it was busy and I had just finished telling the Velvet Glove story about the smashed wine. Just as I had finished telling the story, the bottle of Velvet Glove leaped off the tasting bar (really my elbow hit it) and smashing into 1,000 little pieces of glass swimming in a small reddish deep purple pond of wine. It was spectacular and the timing could not have been better. I was sad and distracted for a few minutes and then I just said, "C'est la vie. The wine was delicious. Thanks and Happy New Year' Steve Kogler, Lewes DE
